Strategic Research Agenda and Market Deployment Strategy launched at EWEA 2014

TPWind launched a new and updated Strategic Research Agenda and Market Deployment Strategy on March, 11 at EWEA 2014 conference in Barcelona.

The document is to be the basis of R&D thinking in Europe to 2030. The session looked at how wind technology research priorities have changed over the past years, what the key research areas barriers to market deployment are, and how will the European Commission can continue to play a strong role in supporting wind energy R&D.

TPWind 3rd Energy R&D Event

On September 24th, 2013, TPWind held in Brussels its third Energy R&D Event open to the public.
The conference, focusing on funding wind power in times of crisis, was organised in cooperation with the Platform Advisory Board and saw the participation of approximately 100 wind energy experts, finance specialists and decision-makers.
For the first time, the event featured a panel debate, which encouraged the development of a lively discussion with the active participation of the audience.

The event was co-chaired by Mr. Henning Kruse, TPWind Chairperson, and Mr. Allan MacAskill, TPWind Vice-Chair.

Ninth General Assembly

The TPWind Ninth General Assembly (click here for the agenda) took place in Brussels on March 5th, 2013. This event focused on updating the Platform’s Strategic Research Agenda / Market Deployment Strategy.

The General Assembly featured Working Groups meetings and two plenary sessions.

TPWind side event at EWEA 2013: Wind Energy: a smart investment in times of crisis

A TPWind side event was held on Tuesday, 5 February from 3:30 to 5:00PM in Vienna at EWEA 2013, EU’s premier wind energy event.

The event provided participants with an overview of the state-of-play in terms of investments in wind energy R&D in times of crisis.
