Terms of Reference of the Platform (126 KB)
This Working group is scrutinizing the economics and market instruments related to wind energy, both onshore and offshore.
Key areas in this thematic may include: cost and financing of wind turbine and wind farm projects, supply chain analysis and proposal for improvements, market instruments for electricity exchanges at EU level, impact of certificates on the wind energy market.
A Working Group is composed of a small number (e.g. max. 20) of high-level persons willing to participate to the work of the Technology Platform. Working Groups members are selected from a call of expression of interest launched by the Secretariat. Selection is based on objective criterions, to be proposed by the Secretariat and to be validated by the Executive Committee of the Technology Platform.
The Chairperson of Working Group 5 is Mr. C. Gasco (Iberdrola). Mr Gasco was elected during the third Steering Committee meeting, in November 2007.
The Vice-Chairperson of Working Group 5 is Mr. B. Chabot (ADEME). The Vice-Chairperson was elected during the first TPWind General Assembly, in November 2007.
Members of the group were selected from a Call for Expression of Interest, launched by the Secretariat of the Technology Platform. This call ended on September 16th, 2007.
