Working Group 4: Offshore
Description
This group is focuses on offshore research and deployment.
Key areas in this thematic may include: safety and access to offshore turbines, new and improved concepts for offshore wind turbines, design and fabrication of offshore substructures, new concepts for assembly installation and hookup of large scale developments, offshore cables and connectors, operations and maintenance, spatial planning and decommissioning
Composition
A Working Group is composed of a small number of high-level persons willing to participate to the work of the Technology Platform. Working Groups members are selected from a call of expression of interest launched by the Secretariat. Selection is performed by the Steering Committee based on objective criteria.
Members
The Chairperson of Working Group 4 is Mr. J. O. Tande (SINTEF). Mr. Tande was elected at the 10th Steering Committee meeting, in November 2010.
The Secretary of Working Group 4 is Mr. A. Natarajan (Risoe/DTU).
Members of the group were selected through a Call for Expression of Interest, launched by the Secretariat of the Technology Platform. The call closed on 1 October 2010.
