Working Group 2: Wind Power Systems
Description
This Working Group focuses on aspects enabling costs reductions on the wind-turbine side (onshore and offshore). Key areas in this thematic may include: Materials, Drive-trains, Blades, O&M and Wind turbine design and efficiency increase.
Composition
A Working Group is composed of a small number of high-level persons willing to participate to the work of the Technology Platform. Working Groups members are selected from a call of expression of interest launched by the Secretariat. Selection is performed by the Steering Committee based on objective criteria.
Members
The Chairperson of Working Group 2 is Mr. J. Beurskens (ECN). Mr. Beurskens was elected at the 10th Steering Committee meeting, in November 2010.
The Secretary of Working Group 2 is Mr. P. H. Jensen (Risoe/DTU).
Members of the group were selected through a Call for Expression of Interest, launched by the Secretariat of the Technology Platform. The call closed on 1 October 2010.
