"2020: Meeting the Target"
TPWind fifth General Assembly (click here for the agenda) took place in Brussels on November 10th, 2009. This event focused on the implementation of the new Wind Energy Roadmap, developed by TPWind in cooperation with the European Commission and EU Member States and published on October 7th, 2009, in the EC Communication on Finacing Low Carbon Technologies (click here for more information on this Programme, which is set to become one of the most important tools for the development of wind energy in the 2010 - 2020 period).
The morning session was dedicated to Working Group meetings only and the afternoon session to the plenary.
The event was reserved to TPWind members.
"Building the future of wind energy"
TPWind fourth General Assembly (click here for the agenda) took place in Brussels on May 13th and 14th, 2009. This event focused on the development of the SRA/MDS Implementation Plan (i.e. the document needed to transform the "Strategic Research Agenda" into reality - click here for an overview of this document), on the "European Wind Initiative" (announced by the European Committion in its "Strategic Energy Technology Plan") and on the future of TPWind.
Day One of the Assembly (May 13th) was dedicated to Working Group meetings only and Day Two (May 14th) to the plenary session.
The event was reserved to TPWind members.
A TPWind session was held in Marseille at EWEC 2009, EU's premier wind energy event.
The session, which took place on March 17th, 2009, was chaired by Mr. Henning Kruse, TPWind Chairman.

"Implementing the plan"
The third TPWind General Assembly (click here for the agenda) took place in Brussels on October 8th and 9th, 2008. This event was focused on the concrete implementation of the TPWind SRA&MDS documents. The event attendance was reserved to TPWind members.
The plenary sessions were however broadcasted on this webpage.
The TPWind General Assembly was followed by the UpWind workshop. This event was public and broadcasted. Registration was needed. More information are available here.
On 25 July 2008, TPWind released the Strategic Research Agenda and Market Deployment Strategy documents.
On this occasion, a press release was issued by the European Wind Energy Association. TPWind was cited in various publications such as Euractiv, Ends Europe Daily or Cordis.
TPWind launched the Synopsis document during its workshop in the EWEC 2008 Conference, on 1 April 2008. It provides an overview of the upcoming Strategic Research Agenda and Market Deployment Strategy documents. It summarizes the TPWind Vision for the Wind Energy Sector and the corresponding Research Action Plan.
EC Research Commissioner Potocnik welcomed this event in his speech provided during the EWEC closing session.

The Second TPWind General Assembly took place in Brussels on February 12th and 13th, 2008.

The First TPWind General Assembly took place in Brussels on November 13th and 14th, 2007. 129 delegates were present.
This 2-days meeting was focused on developing the two main outcomes of TPWind: the Strategic Research Agenda and Market Deployment Strategy Documents.
